【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodforestimatingthemeanreleaserateofbiocidefromanantifoulingpaintoveritsentirelifetime(in-serviceperiod)usingamass-balancecalculation.Ifrequired,thecumulativetotalreleaseofbiocideoverthefirst14daysofthespecifiedpaintlifetimecanalsobecalculated.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletoanyantifoulingpaintthatreleasesabiocide.Whereanantifoulingpaintreleases,orisassumedtorelease,morethanonebiocide,thecalculationcanberepeatedtoallowestimatesofthereleaserateofeachbiocidetobeobtained.Thecalculatedestimateofthetotalamountofbiocidereleasedbythecoatingoveritslifetimecanbeconsideredasaworstcaseforthemaximumamountreleasedtotheenvironment,andsothecalculatedmeanreleaseratevalueshouldalsobeconsideredasthemaximumpossiblemeanreleaserateoverthelifetimeofthepaint.Thecalculatedestimatesaresuitableforuseingeneralenvironmentalriskassessments,andtheapplicationofappropriatecorrectionfactorswillallowthemostaccurateandrepresentativeenvironmentalriskassessmenttobemadeintherelevantscenarioandriskassessmentcase[4].Therearenominimumormaximumlimitingvaluesofreleaseratewhichrestricttheuseofthismethod.ThisInternationalStandardisprimarilydirectedtowardsthereleaseofbiocidefromantifoulingpaintsthathavebeenappliedtoshipandboathulls.Itcan,however,alsobeusedforestimatingbiocidereleasefromantifoulingpaintsthathavebeenappliedtootherobjects.

【摘要】:Inthedesignandoperationofreverseosmosisinstallations,itisimportanttopredictthecalciumcarbonatescalingpropertiesoftheconcentratestream.Becauseoftheincreaseintotaldissolvedsolidsintheconcentratestreamandthedifferenceinpassagesforcalciumion,bicarbonateion,andfreeCO2,thecalciumcarbonatescalingpropertiesoftheconcentratestreamwillgenerallybequitedifferentfromthoseofthefeedsolution.ThispracticepermitsthecalculationoftheLangelierSaturationIndexfortheconcentratestreamfromthefeedwateranalysesandthereverseosmosisoperatingparameters.ApositiveLangelierSaturationIndexindicatesthetendencytoformacalciumcarbonatescale,whichcanbedamagingtoreverseosmosisperformance.ThispracticegivesvariousproceduresfortheadjustmentoftheLangeliersaturationindex.ThetendencytoformCaCo3scalecanbesuppressedbytheadditionofantiscalentsorcrystalmodifiers.Suppliersofantisealentsandcrystalmodifierscanprovideinformationonthescaleinhibitionpeformanceofthesetypesofchemical.TheirusemaybeappropriateforreducingscaleformationinROsystems.TheROsystemsuppliershouldbeconsultedpriortotheuseofantisealentsandcrystalmodifierstoensuretheywillnothaveanegativeimpactontheROsystem.1.1ThispracticecoversthecalculationandadjustmentoftheLangeliersaturationindexfortheconcentratestreamofareverseosmosisdevice.Thisindexisusedtodeterminetheneedforcalciumcarbonatescalecontrolintheoperationanddesignofreverseosmosisinstallations.Thispracticeisapplicableforconcentratestreamscontainingxx10to10000mg/Loftotaldissolvedsolids.Forconcentratecontainingover10000mg/LseePracticeD4582.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
