【摘要】:Thisclausepresentsthescope,purpose,organization,andcandidateusesofthisInternationalStandard.ThisInternationalStandardsupportstheinterestofsoftwareusersinconsistent,complete,accurate,andusabledocumentation.Itincludesbothapproachestostandardization:a)processstandards,whichspecifythewayinwhichdocumentationproductsaretobedeveloped;andb)documentationproductstandards,whichspecifythecharacteristicsandfunctionalrequirementsofthedocumentation.ThefirstpartofthisInternationalStandardcoverstheuserdocumentationprocessfordesignersanddevelopersofdocumentation.Itdescribeshowtoestablishwhatinformationusersneed,howtodeterminethewayinwhichthatinformationshouldbepresentedtotheusers,andhowtopreparetheinformationandmakeitavailable.Itisnotlimitedtothedesignanddevelopmentphaseofthelifecycle,butincludesactivitiesthroughouttheinformationmanagementanddocumentationprocesses.ThesecondpartofthisInternationalStandardprovidesminimumrequirementsforthestructure,informationcontent,andformatofuserdocumentation,includingbothprintedandon-screendocumentsusedintheworkenvironmentbyusersofsystemscontainingsoftware.Itappliestoprintedusermanuals,onlinehelp,tutorials,anduserreferencedocumentation.ThisInternationalStandardneitherencouragesnordiscouragestheuseofeitherprintedorelectronic(onscreen)mediafordocumentation,orofparticulardocumentationdevelopmentormanagementtoolsormethodologies.
